英语中这么多“包括”，怎么区分？

英语中有许多同义词，比如中文中的“包括”，英文中有许多对应的单词：include,contain,incorporate,cover consist of 以及involve等等。

今天我们主要比较一下include, contain和incorporate的差别。

在牛津词典中的英英解释为：if one thing includes another, it has the second thing as one of its part.

看两个例句：

1. Does the price include tax?

2. A good British breakfast always includes sausages.

解释：include在使用的过程中，用于总-分结构，强调的是事物的组成部分，用法也比较宽泛。

在牛津词典中的英英解释为：If sth contains sth else, it has that thing inside it or as part of it.

看两个例句：

1. This drink doesnt contain any alcohol.

2. The jar contains spaghetti sauce.

解释：contain更强调事物本身的内容和组成成分，比如一辆车“包含”四个轮子，经常用于“实物”更多。

contain还有用于防止。。蔓延（或恶化）的意思

解释：incorporate更强调在已经存在的完整的事物上添加一些新的东西或元素，从而具有“包含”的意思。
